

I also double checked for definition updates manually, and then watched my firewall to see if it actually reached out to Microsofts server, and it did. Neither PCs had any trouble updating MSE while Malwarebytes Ran, which tells me this bug, at least on these configurations, has not returned. Neither of these PCs have been running since the start of the Christmas Break, so they have both been off for almost 3 weeks, meaning both Malwarebytes and MSE needed to be updated on both machines. I have 2 PCs running Windows 7, both running MSE(Microsoft Security Essentials) and one is running Malwarebytes Corporate, the other is Running the Normal Pro version of Malwarebytes that is the most common version. And as far as I can tell, this issue has not resurfaced. So I just double checked for you on 4 different configurations that are in front of me at this time. Is there a user friendly way to pause Malwarebytes from running while I update my Microsoft Securities Essentials? Are the two programs compatible and able to run simultaneously? Any new fixes in 2019 available?


I have started to wonder whether I should just buy an antivirus programm and stop wondering about Microsoft Updates until my laptop enters the Tech Museum, but the feeling that something's wrong won't stop to irritate me.I'm not very computer literate and find my Microsoft Securities Essentials will not update it's definitions as long as Malwarebytes is running.

Microsoft Help proposes to start a Service called BITS (Background Intelligent Transfer Service) which can't be found in my list of Services. Microsoft "Fix It" could not also solve the problem. I reapplied your All In One repair tool which it took much longer to function this time and retried the Microsoft Update but it failed again - automatically and manualy! I tried to do the Microsoft Update but it failed Today that I rebooted my laptop everything had magically returned to its previous, normal condition. It seemed that the operation was succesfull but the patient passed away. After rebooting the computer there could be absolutely no connection to the Internet. It seemd that it had deleted System 32 (or a large part of it). * "Tdsskiller" found 7 "threads" of medium importance which I deleted. Bear in mind that I had already downloaded a "Registry Reviver" that usually finds about 5-10 errors every time. It corrected about 100 and asked for a formal and payed registration for the rest. * "Malwarebytes" found 630 (or was it 530?) errors but no virus signs. That was an interesting but painful experience.
